TUNZA Asia Pacific Conference to be organized in coming February

Centre for Environment Education, India CEE in partnership with UNEP TUNZA and Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF), Government of India is organizing a three day conference from 31 January-2 February, 2012 in Ahmedabad, India.
Children and youth from Asia-Pacific will gather together to learn about issues and initiatives for protection of forests and biodiversity. The Conference will provide inputs and will be helpful in bringing in the perspective of the young to the discussions and outcomes of two significant international events: the Rio +20 or the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) to be held in Brazil and the Conference of Parties on Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP11) in India, both being organized in 2012. Children and youth will work together to develop a charter of recommendations to be presented in these conferences. For more details Click Here
