Spreading awareness through music.

eco-song-2014-ssiWith this message in heart the Sano Sansar Initiative; realizing the necessity of proper and effective camps for better environment from urban to rural areas in Nepal, decided to come up with the concept of spreading environmental awareness through the most effective and loved medium, music, on the occasion of World Environment Day 2014.

Thousands of campaigns are organized every day with the objective of making a difference to the environment, which lasts only for a day. Music is something that will remain in our memory forever.

Hence, with the motive of involving and motivating youths and children to raise their voice against the hazards of human’s indiscriminate exploitation of the environment through their melodious voice, the second series of Eco-Song Competition was organized.

After the vigorous rounds of audition, 10 participants (three representing their schools and the other seven individual participants) the finals for the Eco-song competition was held in the hall provided by National Trust for Natural Conservation, Khumaltar, Lalitpur.

The effort of the participants and the musicians, the excellent work of the volunteers and the positivity of audience were the key factors which made Eco-Song Competition 2014 a different and a special program in its own rights.

Eco-Song Competition 2014 ended with a beautiful thematic dance symbolizing Mother Nature, Earth, Water and Air and depicting their condition in the present scenario.
